Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation is a self sustaining crown corporation responsible for trade in fish, fish products and fish by-products within and outside of Canada.
The challenge
Marketing and selling Canadian freshwater fish products in highly competitive European and international markets comes with challenges. Freshwater Fish has a lot going for it. From wild fish caught in pristine Canadian nature, to world-class logistics and processing facilities, to an advanced roe-processing facility. The challenge was communicating its many advantages to international buyers.
The solution
We produced two informative videos, one highlighting Freshwater Fish's overall operations and another focused on roe - a highly sought after product worldwide. Over eight months, we traveled across Manitoba, capturing remote commercial fisheries throughout the summer and winter months. From there we filmed in Freshwater Fish's processing facility in Winnipeg and captured footage of the end result - expertly prepared fish and roe.
The results
The two video serve as effective communications tools for Freshwater Fish's marketing and sales team, bringing the pristine nature and vast operations of Canada to buyers around the world.
